Film ve Ekolojik Sanat Atölyesi || Film and Ecological Art Workshop
Sarah Maske ve Ayat Najafi’nin bir sanat projesi olan “Sandsturm – And Then There To Dust” belgeselinin bir parçası olan “Film ve Ekolojik Sanat” adlı atölye çalışması, film ile ekolojik Sanat’ın ilişkisine odaklanıyor. Atölye temelde üç ana soruya cevap vermeyi amaçlıyor.
Film, nasıl ekolojik sanat eserlerinin bir parçası olabilir? Film, nasıl ekolojik sanat eseri olabilir? Film nasıl ekolojik sanat eserlerini belgeler?
Bu sorular, farklı sanatçıların çeşitli ekolojik ve çevreyle ilgili videoları göz önünde bulundurularak tartışacak. 2018 yılında Konya yöresinde “Sandsturm – And Then There To Dust” belgeseli için yürütülen araştırma gezisinden görüntüler ilk kez gösterilecek. Bu görüntüler deneysel materyal olarak sunulacak. Böylece atölye sırasında sadece teorik tartışmalar olmayacak, aynı zamanda pratikte de görme imkanı bulunacak.
“Sandsturm – And Then There To Dust”, uluslararası etki alanı olan kum ve toz fırtınalarının kökleri (tarımda sulama, baraj inşaatları, iklim değişikliği) ve sonuçları (göç ve sağlık sorunları) sanatsal katılım perspektifiyle incelenip çalışılarak kum fırtınaları bağlamında ele alınacak.
Atölyede ayrıca film yapım sürecine dair bilgiler verilecek ve katılımcıların kendi ekolojik öykülerini anlatmalarına imkan verilecek.
The workshop “Film and Ecological Art” as part of the “Sandsturm – And Then There was Dust” an art project by Sarah Maske and Ayat Najafi focuses on the entanglement of film and Ecological Art. It aims at answering the three main questions.
How can film be part of ecological artworks? How can film be the ecological artwork? And how is film documenting ecological artworks?
It will discuss these question by considering several ecological and environmental videos of different artists. Film footage developed 2018 at a research trip for “Sandsturm – And Then There was Dust” in Konya region will be presented the first time and functions as experimental material to not only to talk about art but to really try things out.
Sandsturm – And Then There was Dust investigates the roots (irrigation in agriculture, dam constructions, climate change) and consequences (migration and health issues) of the international phenomenon of sand and dust storms by means of artistic involvement the project examines and works on several aspects in connection with sandstorms.
In the workshop, we will also give insights into the project process and would like to hear the participants own ecological stories.
