This year, Kırkayak Kültür organizes the International Zeugma Film Festival under the themes of “citizenship, neighbour and coexistence”
The festival will bring together the most powerful movies from Turkey and the world’s cinema with the aim of promoting cinema, art and cultural dialogue in Gaziantep.

Kırkayak Kültür is organising the 6th film festival this year. The movie selection of the year consists on the award-winning movies of the previous year from Turkey, Middle East and Europe.

Kırkayak Kültür works on social cohesion and coexistence under “the migration studies”. For this reason, the festival is organized with the themes of “citizenship, neighbor and coexistence”.

Kırkayak Kültür believes that culture and art pave the way for coexistence and social harmony and create a social space for different segments of society to share a common experience. Kırkayak Kültür, with that belief, works to promote and expand this social space.

Kırkayak Kültür aims to include this year our new neighbours coming from Syria to the festival, since they are themselves new citizens of Gaziantep.

It is a movie screening realized by the Zeugma Film Festival via the Festivalscope and Shift72 platform held online due to the pandemic. Have a look at the screenings on https://www.kirkayak.org/izff9online/. The screening takes place at 19:00 every day with two films from the selection of 15 films within the scope of the festival. Screenings are limited to Turkey. Tickets are limited by capacity. In addition to screenings, panels and talks are also held on the festival dates.

The Zeugma Film Festival, which will be held for the ninth time this year, has been organized by Kırkayak Kültür, a Gaziantep-based institution, since 2011. The main sponsor of this year’s Zeugma Film Festival, which is an independent festival, is Beraberce Association. Besides, the Space of Culture Project and DVV are also included among the supporters.

To watch the online screenings of the Zeugma Film Festival, you need to create an account at www.festivalscope.com/page/international-zeugma-film-festival/ (you can find directions on the kirkayak.org website). It is free to create an account with your e-mail address and a password of your choice, but you can watch the movies on a fee.

There are directions in the announcements on the website and social media accounts for the panels and talks held at 21:00 within the festival dates. You can access the event, which will be broadcast live on Kırkayak Kültür’s YouTube and Facebook accounts, also on kirkayak.org. You can participate in the event by writing your questions and opinions as comments.

The fee to watch the movies in the festival selection is 10,00 TL. You can also buy the tickets as a combined package as far as the capacity allows. Each film is launched for screening on the day specified in the program and is sustained for 30 hours.

You can make the payment with a credit card open for online transactions (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). Due to security practices, bank/atm/debit card payments cannot be accepted. Please report any payment problems you have to zeugmaff@kirkayak.org.

The films are launched for screening at 19:00 on the date specified in the program. After the launching time, movies will be shown for another 30 hours. After that, the movies will be discontinued. Once you start watching the movie, you can start and stop watching or re-watch it within those 30 hours. You can connect only two devices on your account.
