ABOUT KIRKAYAK KÜLTÜR
Kırkayak Kültür which was established in 2011, is a rights based non-profit organization, which has been producing baseline gap analysis and policy papers as well as conducting capacity development programs with advocacy and lobbying activities for disadvantaged groups in Turkey and in the Middle East Region.
Kırkayak Kültür, through partnership cooperation with GOAL aims to support Syrian Dom community who lives in Ş.Urfa and Gaziantep using the “Individual Protection Assistance Program” through an 18 months process. The project aims to connect vulnerable and marginalized communities to available state services and non-state services in Gaziantep and Ş.Urfa. Subsequently, experiences in working with the Dom population will be shared with state and other actors in the protection community and advocacy will be made for other actors to adopt best practices.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will be based in Gaziantep and rural districts of Gaziantep Province. Under the supervision of the project manager, the Individual Protection Officer (IPA) will be responsible to implement IPA cases as per CM/IPA SOP.
REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE
-Lead an IPA team to plan and implement individual protection assistance activities through assessment, case planning, case implementation, follow up and case closure through regular case committee meetings,
– Work with the team in the organization and externally to identify and register individual cases requiring protection intervention in the field and/or through information sessions organized for refugees and asylum seekers in the province of Gaziantep,
– Support to record registered cases in the database in a timely manner and update information as necessary and ensure that progress is updated in the database,
-Implement IPA intervention plans as per CM/IPA SOP,
-Contribute to high quality implementation of Kırkayak Kültür’s migrant response,
-Receive registration forms, and register urgent cases through the field,
-Support the IM officer to record registered cases in the database in a timely fashion,
-Accompany the beneficiaries as needed and support them to access to services,
-Maintain highly organized IPA hard copy files and update the database on a regular basis,
-Report Internally to the project manager on weekly and monthly achievements,
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in social work and/or relevant.
Professional Experience:
-Experience of community-based or social work,
-At least two years’ work experience in NGOs or government organizations,
-Strong planning, interpersonal and communication skills,
-Strong report writing and documentation skills,
-Team player who can work collaboratively and with people of diverse backgrounds and cross-culturally,
-Flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn from other team workers and external actors,
-Good Computer skills, especially in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook,
-Spoken and Written English.
