ABOUT KIRKAYAK KÜLTÜR
Kırkayak Kültür which was established in 2011, is a rights based non-profit organization, which has been producing baseline gap analysis and policy papers as well as conducting capacity development programs with advocacy and lobbying activities for disadvantaged groups in Turkey and in the Middle East Region.
Kırkayak Kültür, through partnership cooperation with GOAL aims to support Syrian Dom community who lives in Ş.Urfa and Gaziantep using the “Individual Protection Assistance Program” through an 18 months process. The project aims to connect vulnerable and marginalized communities to available state services and non-state services in Gaziantep and Ş.Urfa. Subsequently, experiences in working with the Dom population will be shared with state and other actors in the protection community and advocacy will be made for other actors to adopt best practices.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
-Implement and regularly update the Information Management Strategy and Dissemination Plan for all information management related products produced by the relevant sector agency.
-Design necessary data collection forms, ensuring that the purpose and use of data collected are clear and that questions are simple, clear and efficient.
-Proactively gather information from relevant cluster partners, UN agencies and Government organizations.
-Update protection data for Kırkayak Kültür.
-Verify data and correct data where necessary together with the IPA Team.
-Prepare, compile and sort protection documents for data entry.
-Enter data from source documents into the prescribed database, files and forms.
-Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
-Transcribe information into the required electronic format.
-Check completed work accuracy for reporting purposes.
-Store completed documents in designated locations.

-Secures information by completing database backups
-Any other task as required by the project manager
-Collect and share information related to DOM settlements, their needs and demographic information.
–Monitor needs map of Dom settlement.
-Participate in Cluster and inter-cluster meetings representing KIRKAYAK KÜLTÜR and provide the necessary support in presenting the relevant data and information when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE
Education: University degree in Information Technology, IT, Statistics, Social Sciences or a related field.
-Good Spoken and written English and Turkish
-Good computer skills, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, Access and MS Outlook
-Strong planning, interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong report writing and documentation skills
-Flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn from others
-Data processing automation highly preferred (ex.R, Python, SPSS)
-Design and drafting software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, MS Office)
– Have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
