ABOUT KIRKAYAK KÜLTÜR
Kırkayak Kültür which was established in 2011, is a rights-based non-profit organization, which has been producing baseline gap analysis and policy papers as well as conducting capacity development programs with advocacy and lobbying activities for disadvantaged groups in Turkey and in the Middle East Region.
Kırkayak Kültür, through partnership cooperation with GOAL, aims to support Syrian Dom community who lives in Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep using the “Individual Protection Assistance Program” through an 18 months’ process. The project aims to connect vulnerable and marginalized communities to available state services and non-state services in Gaziantep and Şanlıurfa. Subsequently, experiences in working with the Dom population will be shared with state and other actors in the protection community
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
-Overall coordination of all community hub activities, and ensuring proper and consistent implementation of Info Hubs main aims: Awareness of rights and basic services, Individual Protection Assistance.
-Coordinate hub activities with local government authorities and institutions. Establish and maintain good relations with key government stakeholders.
-Develop organizational procedures and systems for office personnel, including filing, billing, accounts payable, payroll and scheduling
-Liaise with the project manager and representing Kırkayak Kültür during meetings in Şanlıurfa
-Coordinate IPA team and activities.
-Monthly engagement with local authorities and update information on specific needs and dynamics about neighborhood and household protection needs.
-Weekly report of the ongoing process, needs and assessments of Info Hub to project manager.
-In coordination with the GOAL M&E team ensure smooth and effective registration processes for hub beneficiaries with relevant data collection.
-Assess the protection needs per neighborhood level with IPA team.
-Develop organizational procedures and systems for office personnel, including filling, billing, accounts payable, payroll and scheduling.
REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE
University degree in related field (e.g. business administration, social work, social sciences, public administration)
-At least three years’ work experience in business or NGO administration preferably managing programs or centers for refugee populations. Experience supervising a team required.
-At least two years of experience working in emergency, development or recovery program context required.
-Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated experience in organizing community events and services across a range of technology sectors.
-Ability to maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude while being a pro-active problem solver.
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
-Understanding of monitoring and evaluation concepts, tools and methods.
-Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-point. Ability to manage programming database preferred.
-Fluency in oral and written English and Turkish required. Arabic proficiency strongly preferred.
