“Matbakh || Mutfak Women’s Workshop” and “Cricao” “Hummus Worshop

Kırkayak Kültür – Matbakh || Mutfak Women’s Workshop has been working on the influence of migration on food culture since last year. Matbakh || Mutfak Women’s Workshop aims to make cultural and artistic productions that support refugee and local people to learn how to live together.

“No Borders for Food” is a space of cultural exchange through art, food and cooking. Through food, this project explores the new food cultures emerged in Toulouse and Gaziantep due migration. Kırkayak Kültür – Matbakh || Mutfak Women’s Workshop and Cricao is performing “Hummus” workshop in Gaziantep. This workshop will also be exhibited in France in September.

“No Borders for Food” – Hummus Performance will take place in Mehmet Reşit Mutfak Sanatları Eğitim Merkezi within Emine Göğüş Kitchen Museum. Hummus is one of the most famous dish around the world. It is economic, easy to prepare and vegan. It provides an environment for sharing, meeting, discussion and it represents multiculturalism. The performance will be a melting pot for different cultures.
